DESCRIPTION:Stein-3 milestone\n\n7 March 2019 is the Stein-3 milestone.\n\
n\n\nFeature freeze\n\nThe Stein-3 milestone marks feature freeze for proj
ects following the release:cycle-with-rc model. No featureful patch should
be landed after this point. Exceptions may be granted by the project PTL.
\n\n\n\nFinal release for client libraries\n\nClient libraries should issu
e their final release during this week\, to match feature freeze.\n\n\n\nS
oft StringFreeze\n\nYou are no longer allowed to accept proposed changes c
ontaining modifications in user-facing strings. Such changes should be rej
ected by the review team and postponed until the next series development o
pens (which should happen when RC1 is published).\n\n\n\nRequirements free
ze\n\nAfter the Stein-3 milestone\, only critical requirements and constra
ints changes will be allowed. Freezing our requirements list gives package
rs downstream an opportunity to catch up and prepare packages for everythi
ng necessary for distributions of the upcoming release. The requirements r
emain frozen until the stable branches are created\, with the release cand
idates.\n\n\n\nStein Community Goals Completed\n\nTeams should prepare the
ir documentation for completing the community-wide goals for Stein.\n\n

DESCRIPTION:RC1 target week\n\nThis week is the target for projects follow
ing the release:cycle-with-rc model to issue their first release candidate
 \, with a deadline of 21 March 2019.\n\n\n\n\n\nHard StringFreeze\n\nThis
happens when the RC1 for the project is tagged. At this point\, ideally no
strings are changed (or added\, or removed)\, to give translator time to
finish up their efforts.\n\n\n\nCycle highlights marketing deadline\n\nCyc
le highlights need to be added to the release deliverables by this point t
o be included in any marketing release messaging. Highlights may be added
after this point\, but they will likely only be useful for historical purp
oses.\n\nSee the project team guide for more details and instructions on a
